I must admit that this book is not typically one that would interest me. Lately though I have been on a read it before the movie comes out kick. This books is just a relatable story. It's not a thriller, fantasy, or suspense novel. It's just a story about Emma and Dexter. It's just real and believable. I really don't have much more to say about it except maybe its a fast read that is easy to pick out the pieces that are personal to me as I read. Thats all.

I found it funny that a few of my co-workers who had read this book thought it may not be one I would like. They were wrong, but the important thing is to try it and experience it and you may be surprised or you may not.

There are so many things I love about this book. The honesty in the writing. The way not everything is roses and sunflowers more like real life. I love the conflict of hope and reality. The one thing I wouldn't say I didn't like but I was hoping for is to see the antagonist get her come upins. I was also hoping for loose ends to be tied up. The ending is truly bitter sweet but maybe just a little to one side. I wish more people would read this book and consider how their actions reflect on others.

When I saw Maggie on Wednesday she asked who in the audience were criers. Some people raised their hands (not myself). She quickly informed them this book was guarenteed to bring on the tears. I thought of my friend sitting besided me and knew she would be doom to the kleenex curse. Well, I finished the book two days later at work, not the best place to finish this book. Really not good when you have your subordinate's coming in to ask questions and you have tears in your eyes. This book was a tense, touching read and I truly loved it. I'm sure at least one of the tears was because it was the last book. Magie's writing is read with easy and relatable at any level. The concept is is not too over the top that can't be grasped as reality. The details of science implied in this final installment ground the tale to a real foundation. I love the way she plays charactrs off one another and give them very distinct actions and voice that tie specificall to them. I especially enjoyed the scenes with Rachel and Grace's family and Rachel and Sam. Maggie also does a incredible job of varying family dynamics that stay true to how the more central characters of the story act and have been molded into who they are. I would definately recommend this book to everyone but would tell them not to rush through them. Read it, savor it, take in the scent of the story and really enjoy it. It is so worth it!

Once I found the time to start this book, it was a fast read and hard to put down. I had to keep reading to get answers to questions I had about characters and the plot but alas not all of them get answer so this leads on to the next installment. I really didn't get a very good sense of what Cal is about but I suspect there is a reason for that. I do believe I would place the first book a little more of a favorite than this book but I really think this book works as a bridge to something bigger. We shall see.

The saga continues and so does the greatness of this story. Reading Holly's work is effortless and this world of workers is absolutely believable. I literally just finished reading this book. I have been revamping concurrently by audio in my car on my way to and from work. I love the story and really love Jessie Eisenberg reading it. Reading these books is like seeing the movie in my head. There has not been a time I questioned anything I read. I could have read this book in one sitting if life didn't get in my way. If I could just be a worker who could have an ability to give myself more time to do what I enjoy and not what I have to get done. This book was a great escape. I kinda wish I could get a little of the story from Lilla's pov. Maybe in a novella form would be nice. I think I will tweet Holly and ask. Till then I will just wait for Black Heart.

Lately I've been fortunate enough to be tuned into some amazing books. This one just carries the torch and even that much higher. I revamped If I Stay in audio in anticipation of this book. I fell in love with that story all over. The audio was great. It has been a while, probably a little over a year, that there has been a book that I have read in less than a day. If not for my adult responsibilities, I know for positive that I would have read this book in one sitting. However, I read this book every chance I got, sneaking it when I probably shouldn't have. This book had my heart and soul enthralled and on the edge the entire book. This story had perfect dramatic balance and reading it was effortless and a pleasure. No one in this book is perfect, but actually flawed to the point of realism. I can see these people on stages performing or passing me in a public place. They are just people that had something happen and choices were made. These books are definitely books I aspire to make annual reads, true treasures. If you haven't yet go read them now.

Wow, I wish I would have read this book sooner. This is one of those stories that is hard to put down and when you have too, you can't wait to get back to it. I must admit that knowing Robert P was cast to play Jacob in the movie, this was how Jacob looked while reading this book. Not necessarily a bad thing. I am eager to see if they do the book justice. This tale was engaging and dramatic in every sense of the word. There was tension every day for someone, somehow. I was heartwrenched to furious at times and was most sad for the scenes with elderly Jacob and people who really didn't value him. If you haven't read this you should.

City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

How could I give any of Ms. Clare's books anything but 5 stars. I could go outside the rules and give a six or ten but that would defeat the basis of the concept. Speaking of concepts Ms Clare has stepped up the pace. There were so many things in this story I just didn't see coming and can I say thank you. Being book four I am even more connected and invested in these characters. I love the setting being back in New York and the start of it seeming to be more of the day to day events that stew and twist into ultimate chaos. What else should we expect from Cassie. Peppered throughout are appreciated looks into to all the relationships, both young and adult. I do wish I had a better grasp of the fairy involvement. I'm sure it has strategic placement that will come to light in future books. I truly love these books and cannot get enough. Too bad the wait is a year. So off I go to devour the book again but this time in audio with Mr. Westwick and Ms. Quinn.

I actually took vacation to have uninterrupted time to finish this book. So well worth it. There are so many things I love about these books. All kinds of tension for one. No one in these books is the best at anything. All characters are dealing with a truly hopeless situation and just trying to get by and live. Something else I love about these books are the short chapters. I don't know why, but I felt the progress of the story better because I navigated scenes better with the shorter chapters. Not that some of these chapters aren't cliff hangers so that you can't help but keep reading right into the next chapter, cause you do. I just like the sense of accomplishment of gain ground through the book and the story. The story itself is of course the best thing about this book. I really didn't see almost all of what happened next. I really enjoy the fact that Ms Ryan tells it with anticipation but not way you can presume what will be. She builds her world with such skill you get anxious just reading. I know she it tackling a new series that is different and I can't wait to see what it's about.

Almost nothing like Little Red Riding Hood, but better. Only the cloake(s) is the same. You get two for the price of one for sisters. You get double the perspective, one tarnished and driven by trauma and the other just trying to live and be real while staying loyal. I would have loved to have gotten a little more backstory on how the Fenris came to be, but that's just my thirst for lore perspective and spins. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to sink into a tense story with an constant engaging plot. I will definitely be lending this book out and moving on to read the other Jackons Pearce book I have. Thank you Ms. Pearce for writing this.

This is definitely the adult version and I really liked it. There were just a few smatterings of lines from the tale that were placed in just the right places. I need to see the movie and see if they were actually in the script too. I found it interesting that the script was a predecessor to this book. I think in all this was a good marketing tool but I don't understand why they put the last chapter online and not in the book. Going online to read the last chapter was all I did. I didn't see the need to browse the site because I already know I will see this movie (if just to see the cute Peter and Henry).

These books are fantastic YA. My personal opinion is top shelf. Ms. Mead weaves a story that lets you participate in more than just holding the book. You feel vested in characters. She has a talent for the unforseen twist and turn. I can't wait for the next spin off series to begin. In the mean time I will try my hand at her adult series. Kudos Ms. Mead.

Truthfully, if I were to judge a book by its cover, I would have passed by this book. To reinforce my poor judgment, I really loved this author's first book but the pink tones and the dress made this book appear, to me, to be something not my taste. I, in no way, classify myself as a girlie girl and even more both of my prom experiences from my younger years were pretty much dreadful disasters. I thought about checking it out from the local library, but alas their copy is on order. Thank you, Eve’s Fan Garden (Twilight Moms) for coordinating a read along, even though I was late to the party in the participation arena. I ventured into my local book chain to acquire several books and add this one to the stack. I am so glad I did. This book was fantastic. After chapter 6 I found it impossible to put down and read straight on to the wonderful finish. I’m going to pass it around to all my reader coworkers, it’s so good. Ms. Eulberg’s writing is effortless to read and you travel along through the story as if you were there. With bullying so prominent in today’s social discussions, this book does not preach to its reader but paint the picture as a backdrop. Primarily the story reinforces the one thing I did, DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK/PERSON BY ITS/THEIR COVER. Go buy it today, find a nice comfy nook and dive into this great story.

I think I heard about this book from one of the participants of a podcast I listen to (smartmouths). This books is full of information sometimes a bit too much and overwhelming. I did find it very interesting and made me feel a bit guilty about not being up on all the current events and happening in just our country alone. Granted this book is mostly a historical perspective it really opens an eye to what really goes on and how media and others are so very talented on putting a spin on or just covering up what they don't want you to know for their own personal gain. So many in this country of golden opportunity are loosing their conscience and humanity. It's a sad state of affairs.

This book was better for me than the first one. I'm not sure exactly why, but I seemed to visualize the scenes better and feel more involved in the story. I was definitely was on Luce's side, wanting to figure out her past. There were times when I wanted to take her by the hand and just drag her into action so I could find out too, but it doesn't work that way. So, I will be reading Passions when it come out this year. I might even go back and read Fallen again (giving it a second chance) and then surely Torment.

However, the book is being marketed as a middle grade and it may be just the right speed for a young person. I found some of the issues with blood a little unecessary but to each his own. I commend Ms. Bow for finishing the book with steadfast determination over the long haul. I totally can appreciate her effort. I have read many a review that really liked this book a lot. I'm just one reader of hundreds of thousands. If it peaks your interest try it.

A Blue So Dark by Holly Schindler

At times this book was hard to read. Not because the story was bad, no, because the story was very good. The writing draws a very clear picture. I wanted to jump into the pages and give Aura a hand. I was really angry with the adults in her life that should lover her, but left her to deal with the situation all alone and robbed of her adolescence. I didn’t fully conceptualize the painting and drawing descriptions but being slightly creative with words myself, I really enjoyed the poetry and how it laid foundation for the feelings at the time.

I discovered this book via a review by a book blogger I follow. She wrote ”This is one of the most impressively written debut novels I've read this year. (And that's saying a lot because I've read a lot of them!) But it wasn't just the writing that was so striking... the characterization, the story... everything! It was... WOW.” I do agree. If you like reality read that walk awhile is someone else’s shoes here’s your book.

This is another one of those series where the sophomore book continues the Wow. I would chrish the chance to sit and actually have a conversation with Mr. Dashner. I'm ositive it would be very interesting. How he gets the ideas for this story, I can not even begin to imagine. He describes the horrible perfectly and leads you to anguish like a detailed map. I sympathize for every character in this book, not only for what they do to each other (or are made to do) but to what is being done to them by Wicked. But just remember WICKED IS GOOD. I have not read his other series but once this one is finished I will definitely go back and investigate that one.

I am really excited to see the movie too. Aside from all the drama going on with Mr. Frey, I hope that this series continues and that you, Mr. Hughes are allowed to do it. Some will boycott the book because of the drama, but I hope people at least go and get it from the library and give it a read. It is worth it.

The first thing I loved about this book was the cover. It is gorgeous. I put it on my wish list right away. Then I started reading review on book blogs about people who had the ARCs, so I pre-ordered. When I got it in the mail I had already started other books. Then I got an invite to a chat with the author. I must say she sounds like a truly gifted person both intellectually and creatively as demonstrated in this book. Her marketing people are equally gifted by posting the prequel story of Shay and the YouTube videos. These were genius. I really enjoyed reading this book especially the last 100 pages and the ending GAH!! I went right out the next night and read chapter 1 of Wolfsbane. Ms. Cremer I bow to your take on the (for lack of a better word) "werewolf" legends. I like seeing them with control of the ability and lack there of in their lives showing the more human faults in choices and believing those how may wish to deceive. Bravo.

The book was an easy read, but I still found it really weird. I was really just expecting what it is like for a boy to start high school and all the growing up that went with it. This particular boy had issues and even when you get to the end I wonder how much of that issue flavored how he acted. He was like a smart kid with delayed common sense and social skills. It made me wonder what his elementary years were like. I was hoping this would be a book I could recommend to my son to help him cope with issues he might encounter but I'm really not sure now. It is not a bad book that I would be alarmed if he chose to read it on his own but it doesn't have in it the way I would see him relate to things socially. All in all it was okay.

I really enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It was slightly like a Dan Brown historically detailed suspense with the paranormal mixed in heavily. Of course that fact that it was a vampire always draws me in but this was a newer twist than I've read before. I hope this author rights more about Cade. The chapters were short and to the point and kept the story moving forward rapidly. I would like to see more political trappings in future books if there are any. I this Mr. Fransworth left enough open that he could build on for sequels to come.

Three, Two, One WOW. This books was as good as the first. My fault is that I try really hard to figure out what is being set up as a suprise plot twist in the story. With this book I totally missed alot until the autors would have me know it and I just wasn't thinking as detailed as the world they created it. One thing I don't understand is how so many fans of this book can become so enamoured with John B when there is really so little to be known about him. This is the best plot tease to leave a reader wanting more in the next book. I have true feelings of angst for these characters and the unknowing of almost every part of this book. I reviewed BC in audio and moved right on to BD in print. I have started BD in audio and love that they kept the narrator. These books are true sothern gothic drama and a very enjoyable read.

I read that the first three books are what has been made into the movie. Having read the first two I am going to go see the movie before it leave and then do the third later. This books are a good safe easy read for younger readers and I have read from others that Ms. Lasky's new wolf series is really good too.

If I would have had the time I could have sat and devoured this book in one sitting. Becca has a skill of tempting her reader as the story goes. Giving just enough to make you jump to conclusions but not enough to be convinced you are right. It's like riding the archangel rollercoaster, steady suspense and quick drop action and then back to steady suspense and so it goes. I always hope sophomore books are as good as their predecessors but in this case I think it was better. I believe because we already know the characters and can accept their actions more freely. I really loved Vee in this book but am really curious to know how she will justify what happened in this book in the next book. And just how long do I have to wait? Now I know that getting the ARC sprinting through it just make for a longer wait, but still this book is a fantastic read.

I honestly just got the books to read them before seeing the movie. After reading this first volume I really hope the film makers do it justice. I really liked this book and will encourage my son to read it. The main characters had very distinct voices and suported the plot well. There were a few times I felt I never really got to know a minor character or that things just moved to fast with that character to understand the intent or motive from them but overall all it was a good story that kept moving forward. There are also just enough hanging threads of questions to tempt the reader on to the next volume.

This book was a very enjoyable middle age read. I read this book at the same time as my son read it for a book report. The idea and well thought out plotting of granting half wishes made for a perfect read. I also really liked that hidden moral of actions have consequences and becareful what you wish for. This is a perfect read for parents to enjoy with younger children too. One of my favorite author's recommended this book to me and I'm so glad I bought it and was able to share and enjoy it with my son.

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

This book was more than I expected, the key word being expected. Three times in this book I was blindsided. I turned the page to the next chapter expecting something to happen and then got an eyeful of something else, stunning my conscious recognition. This is just one thing I loved about this book. I also love that this book is no fairytale. It is gut wrenchingly raw and cruel and can solicit emotions of repulsion and disgust right alongside desires of hope and happiness. There is no sugar coating to this series. It was a realistic read. Collins writes believability into a complex snare that draws you in and makes it so hard to put the books down. These books will definitely reside on my favorites shelf. For me this book was worth the wait not that I wouldn't have like to have had it sooner. Now I’m off to savor this book again and glean even more while listening to the audio.

I'm kinda sad that Tess couldn't remember what she shared with Charlie but I get that it helped Charlie to allow himself to live and do over his time with Tess and live through it. I hope to see the movie and see if it does the book justice.

I purchased this book last November because blogs spoke highly of it. It sat in my books I want to read NOW pile (as subset of my "to be read") for about 3 months getting preempted by other books. Recently there has been a lot of praise for this book on twitter so I picked it up. It starts a little slow but very mysterious. This book was suspenseful, intriguing and thrilling. Mr. Dashner writes with a technique of purposeful confusion. The concept is not confusing but you get the confusion of the characters within the book. I really would have liked to see a map of the glade and maybe a drawing of how he pictures the grievers, to see if my imagination was even close. I did notice that some people on goodreads did not review this book with as high praise. Some said the personalities were not very developed. I think this was intentional as it is how Thomas perceives them and granted this all takes place in a matter of about a week or two. Can anyone get a true read on any one person in a group of people in that short of time. It probably in how much you read into the story. I will definitely be in line for the next installment. I will be encouraging my 12yo son to try this one. I think he will like it.

I thought this books was okay and would probably be better received if I was say, a thirteen or fourteen year old boy who was a little bit geeky and liked alot of things about music. Being a mom of two boys I was glas I read it as it reminded me of things to come as my boys get older. This book was an easy read and easy to follow but there was one thing that J5's dad did that I just really can't see happening. If you wonder what that it is, pick it up from your library and find out.

As far as Sookie books go this one was not quite up to the level of the others. It really felt like a stepping stone. To a future plot and maybe a little back history fill in. Being a fan of True Blood made it a bit confusing because of some of the tangent story details that the series has created conflicts with some of the details in this book (ie Godrick was not Eric's maker). I did really like the interaction between Andy, Portia, Bill, Caroline and Sookie. Everytime something dramatic and action packed was to happened or was happening Sookie was either leaving to avoid, getting there after the fact or coming in at the end and missing the build up. All the action just seemed laid out on the plate but they was not anticipating and being teased buy the auroma wafting around while it cooked. As these stories go, it was easy to grasp and a fast read. I really hope it builds up to a more exciting next book.

I thought I had it figured out and was just along for the ride, but bam in the end I was blindsided and left lying stund in the street. Now I have to wait how long for Forever? Why do I put myself through this. I did just get Shiver on audio and as soon as I have Linger I will listen to them back to back and enjoy it all over again. The are books that are a good or great read, and there are books that touch you, pulling you into the belief of the story. This book is the latter. I may not have chosen this book to read if not for one of my Goodreads friend's recommendation. Now, I'm so glad I did. This book is one of those books that calls to you to pick it up and keep on reading. It waits patiently in your mind to pick up where you left off. This concept was like nothing else I have read. Easy to grasp and moves steadily forward. I do wish there were pictures of the irish sites described but that would just be a little extra but not necessary to get the story. I truly hope and want the next installment and will be searching for info as soon as I finish this review post.

I heard about this book from a website I follow and thought it would be a good read. I really love how Lesley's Fey are sinister and dangerous. I prefer my Fey this way. It make for a more dramatic and tense encounters in a story. These traits tend to convey unpredictability and fear. Kelley, the main character, was a tiny bit lacking for me. I don't get why the revelations made to her did not cause her more internal conflict. I got that Sonny's surprises were more of a shock to him. I really love Sonny. I immediately started the next book in the series and hope to see Kelley take charge and expand her range and level of intense emotions.

This would not typically have been a book I would have considered based on the cover or title, but I was looking for books my son might possibly read. After reading this I don't think it would be action packed enough for him. However, I really enjoyed this book. I think Mr. Haddon did an excellent job of protraying the complexity of one autistic mind. I think this book would be an excellent read for grade school teachers just to get a pinch of a taste of how special these people are. I am very glad I picked this book up and appreciate the inadequacies I have of not always seeing all the detail in the picture and never acheiving a stimulus overload.

This was a real treat. I really really enjoyed this book. Yes, I love how Stephenie writes. The flow is natural like watching a good movie. I LOVE the extra insite of the Volturi's involvement that we never got from Bella's perspective in Eclipse. Bree is such a tragic character, from a sad human existence to a short sad vampire existence. Yes, everyone knows Bree is destroyed and you enter this book know this thinking its just a story, but in the end I felt so heartbroken for her and I did not expect that. This was not like reading a newpaper article about something bad that happened, it was the Eulogy at the funeral presented by a dear friend. For me I have more questions since reading this and hopefully Twilight Source (Podcast)can get some answers from Stephenie when they interview her, 'crosses fingers'. Now If we could just get Midnight Sun. (I've only read chap 1/2 and feel so guilty for that. Holding out for the final version she wants us to have).

When I bought the first two books in the this series in 2008 I read them back to back in a week, which is pretty good for a working wife and mother of two boys. I truly loved this series from the beginning. Consistently each book has drawn me in treated me to adventure, conflict, and heightened emotion only to leave some part unanswered and me wanting more. This book maintains these same standards and brings in some political meandering and drama. I truly love Rose and all that comes with her. I love being in her head (and Lissa's) throughout the story. The covers of the books help too. Of all the YA characters I read, I would love to be Rose. I can appreciate the "brass ones" she has.

This book was so much more than I expected and very subtle about it. Yes the topic of the story is distressing and stressfull but in a real open up you mind to all viewpoints kinda way. I really enjoyed the difference in the structure of telling the story as it changed in the 4 parts of the book. There was a definite unpredictablity for me. I kept expecting something that never came. The ending was a supreme justification of everyone, except the principal. I really loved how this book took stereotypes and made them people and those people in the middle expanded with depth and complexity. This books really outlines that people are not always what they are preceived at and not just one way but many fragmented parts that make up a whole person. I would hope that many people read this book and not just book nerds, this story is a very inspiring and enlightening telling and should be shared and touted.

This book moved faster than the last because the foundation is already set. Every time I thought I had it figured out I didn't. Sarah definately has a knack for the hidden plot. I no longer see Alan as Dean from Supernatural but Nick is a more intense version of Sam still in my head, dark hair, pale and cute, if you know what I mean. I really need to find away to get an ARC of the next book because the demon leaves you wanting more.

I really got a sense of maturing and growth in this book that I didn't get out of the others. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the other books. This books has more of what I enjoyed in the first four books. There was much more intensity to this chaper of the saga. It's a shame there is such distance in the time between book releases.

This sophomore telling is a step up from the first. I believe I found Wings to be enticing and enjoyable. Spells is edgier and emotionally intense. I now know much more about Tamani and can appreciate his plight. Ms Pikes ability to paint the scenes of Avalon are effortless to read and are like watching it on a screen. Her outlining the cultural differences involves the reader in judging and then relating as they read farther into the discussions of the characters. The next book can not come out soon enough for me.

I am so glad that Pam Bachorz recommended this book in an interview. I honestly did not want to put this book down. This story is a creepy thrilling short joyride. Just enough paranormal, just enough suspense and just enough detail to move you swiftly forward to the end. I was surprised this book was not made into a movie, even for television, like some of her other works. I will definitely be checking out some of her other books. I loved the thrill of this book, reading it and sitting on the edge of my seat. Go get it and read it.

It is truly amazing how creative the human mind can be. This idea of this book is like nothing I have ever read or seen before. Often times I can see pieces of ideas from other stories, movies or TV shows in a book I've read,but not his one. I'm in awe of this story and how well it is executed. You're drawn into the roller coaster ride of brief enlightenment to frustration, then anger to determination. While growing up my parents would sometimes say no one ever said life was easy. This book portrays that along with a great defining moment for Hope. It's hard enough for a person to create a self worth and an individual identity in a world of fitting in, prejudices, and aversion to great change, but that doesn't mean it's not worth trying. Looking back, there is an underlying sense of inspiration to just do the right thing and fight for what is right.

Then there are those where the magic does get revenge to the appropriate degree. Twelve stories all different but goth. If you have a need for a touch of darkness these are for you. Yes this is the sophomore book of this series and the stereotypical fear is that the second is never as good as the first because the concept is not new anymore. Yes this book has gang involvement and yes this book pairs two people who would not normally associate, together, but it also takes a situation one step farther. I goes on to show how consequences of one persons decision go on to affect others as time goes on. I must say Ms. Elkeles books have just moved way up in my towering to read stack.

Im not sure I really got to know why Anke did things she did other than the ending. I found it quite confusing that she could walk around going to parties and joining teams when she knew her dad would frown at that. Not until toward the climax did I get a real sense of I'm doing this because he is wrong. It was a fast okay read and I might try another from this author.

I loved this book so much that I bought a second copy and gave it to my son's principal (she likes similar middle grade books) for her to read and then donate to the school library. I felt this book had a lot of good moral undertone to a very well written plot. I am also excited to read more in this series. I really like the fact that Robyne did not use her real name so these younger readers would not search on her name and find her other books that would not be suited for middle grade readers. It says alot about this author. Henry is a relateable character and is face with teasing and bullying that many young kinds (unfortunately) can relate to. I feel his approach to dealing with it shows how he matures using the guides of the code to maintain his self worth and make him a better knight. Frankie, Adam and Rohan made the perfect companions and the author draws them with a fine tip detail. The several antagonist in this book are equally intriguing and well written. Read it and see what I mean.

I read this book with my seven year old. I hope I did as well as the narator of the audio books we had with the previous spiderwick series. I'm sad that this series is shorter because I do love sharing these books with my boys. I love the way she tied characters from the other series into this one but did not make them an overbering addition. Her characters personalities are easily distinct and makes it easy to imagine the scenes in my head. The writing is clever and believable to both adult and child ears. Holly Black has a gift and I'm glad she flexes her writing muscle often. Now on to the next one.

This book was a mental joy. I loved the tie in of The Wrinkle in Time. This book was an ongoing mystery all the way to the end. I would liken it to the Time Travelers Wife but in a YA version. It amazes me how people can think of such amzaing conundrums as time travel and weave it into a justifiable plot line. All the characters in this book are relateable and helps the story to flow easily. I can see how this book has gotten the Newberry Award. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a realistic type story with a mind twisting bit of fantasy.

Sophie thought she had issues before meeting those like herself. Thats where this story begins. When what you think you know is so much more. This story weaves typical teenage anxieties with hidden magical agendas and secrets. This story was engaging with a sprinkle of snarky dialogue. I wish I was able to delve a little deeper into some of the characters and get a bit more of some of their backgrounds, but maybe in the next book. Too bad its not coming out for another year. If you don't mind the wait this book is a good pageturners, enjoy.

I had this in my too read pile for awhile. I only moved it up in the stack because I heard it was going to be made into a movie. I love the orginal fairy tale and this telling is essentially true to the tale, but to me, it lacked some of the edge. I think bringing it up to the current century adds to many conveniences that makes the beasts hardship seem a little less traumatic. Kyle definitely was egotistical and self absorbed but not necessarily as cruel at the orginal character was. For a young person I think it is a good and relatable read. For myself I really appreciate some of the nuances of the classic fable.

I surprised myself and liked this more than I thought I would. Yes, it has some of the same issues that movies have that are adaped from books, like being true to the book. There were things and scenes that were not in the book. I love details and to have any part of something I love abreviated is a little dis heartening but I do understand why they did it. This is the visual cliff notes version of Twilight. The drawings are very accurate and I can appreciate the artist interpretation of some of the characters better than how the casting directors have done with styling the actors in the movies. Ms. Kims talent is evident and adds a refreshing turn to a wonderful story.

I'm rushing out to lend this one to my best friend before it is due back.

This story is enjoyable and creates vivid imagery in its telling and will leave you coming back for more.

I would have to say I would be interested in reading another book from Msl. Van Diepen.

This books is a steady build to a really good read. The main character is well developed and easy to relate to. I wish there was more deep time for the main character to get to know some of the other characters but I see how it adds to the mystery of the story. I do however love the depth of grimalkin. Unfortunately I had read some comments obout this book relating it to the 80s movie Labirynth and had a hard time getting visions of this story in that setting out of my head. I also kept relating grimalkin to the cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland. Since both of these other things are things I love I guess it would only be fitting to add this book to those things. In the end Julie leaves the door just wide enought without shoving you of the cliff to bring the reader back for The Iron Daughter.

I love Lisa Schroeder's works. This was my third book of hers to read and own. Yet it is not my favorite it is still and enjoyable read. Her stories lead to introspection on the readers part which is something I don't find often after reading many books. I love the prose format and look forward to reading her future endevors in prose or otherwise.

I really did not know what the paranormal aspect of this book was going to be before I started it. Yes it did fall into one of the trend character topic as of late but happily with its own unique spine. I love a story with justifiable research that adds historical believablity. I found myself pondering the book at times that I had to put it down for other things. This books was a steady inticement and I enjoyed the interweaving of religious tie ins. I hope there is a sequel to this story for Grace's sake and my reading pleasure.

This book is a fast read because it is enticing and enjoyable. The plot moved steadily and sucks you in to Laurels plight of discovery. I wish I could have gleaned a little better sense of who Tamani is but I guess that will bring me back when the second book comes out. Loved David in this book, wish more boys were like him. (He reminded me a little of Ethan from Beautiful Creatures) I would probably have Chelsea's reaction if his heart should ever break. The spin on faerie anatomy is quite ingenious and was a joy to discover. I will definitely be in line to get the next instalment as soon as I can.

This books was nothing like I expected, but was so much more. It was life for someone with serious choice to make. This was not a fairytale but a story with real feeling and real consequences in a paranormal way. This series was amazing and I would recommend it to anyonme.

This was a good read. I could have read it in one sitting if it weren't for life and sleep getting in the way. The plot was inticing and move consistently. The characters and predictions kept you wondering. I would love to see my son's venture into these books. A good MG read for young readers and a sound literary investment.

This book was great! I wish this book would have been out when I was in high school. I was a definite Tracy but extremely shy. I had lots of hopes of love and boys but not to sure how to act upon it. This story subtly snuck in a moral about staying true to yourself and appreciating who you are. This story is an easy, enjoyable read and should be recommended to any teenage girl.

A year or so ago I bought the movie. It was okay, my kinda genre. I expected the book to be a more detailed version of the movie. I was wrong. It appears the screen writer only took some of the details and went on their own tangent. Of course the book was better and I was able to grasp Vivian better. Just like The Silver Kiss this book was great enjoyment maybe even better.

I think I love this one a tiny bit more than I Heart You, You Haunt Me. Her books tell a story with pure emotion. They are so realistic and believable, just how you would expect things would really happened if it really happened. Ms Schroeder most definately has a gift.

I loved this book. I loved the variation in chapter lengths. I loved the characters, so believable. Loved the settings, so normal and real but not over elaborated. This book is a constant enjoyable read until the end when it blew me away. My heart and my eyes swelled with emotion and I am not typically emotional.

This book was amazing and so was the audio. The characters were as vivid and rich as red velvet cake. These ladies did a fantastic job weaving their tale into the historical southern atmosphere. Can't wait to read the next one!

The book takes the path less traveled. Yes there was a murder and victim that dies. This is the story of the dead victim and how the world goes on being viewed. It is thought provoking and enlightening for the inner soul. I read and listened to the audio of the author divulging her work. It was a relaxing revealing travel.

I was hoping for a continuation in the Sookie series but got 5 short stories instead. One I had read before in another compilation. They are good stories but just enought to tease you for the real 300 or so page book. The taste is good but just a taste. It better to devour the books as wholes. Yes I would recommend this book but as a companion to all the others.

At first I was leary about this being mostly about Rose with no interaction from the characters from the other books. I must admit I was very suprised and pleased. This book was great. I loved seeing Rose's struggles and her having to rely on herself and her gut instincts to work through it. I really really can't wait for the next one to come out.

This book was a very enjoyable read. I really liked the marketing aspects of the coordinating podcasts. What a unique experience to add to reading this book. I would love to see Ms. Bachorz write more to the story but I have not heard that she is. There are so many good reads in the YA genre right now in this is definitely one that should be passed around.

Tempted by P.C. Cast

Book six in this series was a little slow but has a heart renching cliff hanger at the end. I am devoted to seeing this series out as I do enjoy the story I just really enjoy the way Ms Cast writes action and there didn't seem to be much of that in this story. Still it is a nice cohesive book in the series and I would still recommend it. Just maybe reading it closer to when the next book comes out.

I read this book as soon as I could and hoped that it would live up to all the glowing comments I read on twitter and the web. This book was a steady delight. Her characterization was very real. Each character's human flaw that makes them unique showed through. The pace of the book was great right through the climax but the end was a bit abrupt. I would recommend this book to anyone but cation them that the end will leave you wanting Crescendo.

These books just get better. I really enjoy the manipulations in the plot. Darren is really coming into his own. He does portray the perfect "half" vampire. I see Mr. Crepsley slowly appreciating him more and more. This book has just enough emotion as to not make it sappy. I am seriously going to try to get my 'not so into reading' son to try these.
